Lately when I start SONAR, I am getting the message that all my MIDI devices are unavailable because Windows is out of memory.  See the picture linked below for exactly what I am getting.  Any ideas?  I am not all that MIDI savvy so anything is useful right now.

Ok, I'll sort through that. I had no idea!

If these are new errors consider the possibility that they may be related to the recent integration of the Chrome browser with the ability to access remote MIDI servers. Apparently the insufficient memory error is showing up when other applications are in conflict for the MIDI driver, and most people are not aware that Chrome, or more accurately sites to which it connects, may be hijacking the driver. If you are not using chrome then look for another conflicting application. If you have chrome, try:

1. In chrome navigate to 'Settings > Advanced Settings > Content Settings'.
2. Locate the 'MIDI devices full control' section.
3. Enable the 'Do not allow any sites to use system exclusive messages to access MIDI devices' option.

Chrome huh? Well I do use Chrome and I was using it prior to this event this evening. When I get back home I will look at this. Thanks for the heads up.

OK, I didn't see any hidden or otherwise strange ports which makes sense -- I NEVER move my MIDI devices.  But I reset Chrome as described and after my reboot and this action, my MIDI devices seem in tact again.  I'll keep track and report back if anyone's interested.

That can't be the reason.  Mine is already disabled, i.e. set to NOT take full control.
