Drop Outs when Recording

Hello. Using Sonar X2 and ASIO 4 All driver, which was working well until today. When I start recording, all of the audio will drop out (not stop entirely). Very frustrating. LOST Metronome!!!

Suddenly lost metronome. no sound. I have it set for audio. no sound in recording or playback. and yes I know how to select those options. this is project specific. it only does it in one project. what could I have done???..
