drum replacer not working in a project

I have one project that I can't get drum replacer to work in. when I open the region fx menu it is there but is greyed. Nothing happens when I select it. Could the fact that I used audio snap to quantize those clips have anything to do with it?..

Qwerty keyboard changing patches on synth, very frustrating.
