LFO volume advice please

I may be missing something really obvious here, in which case apologies. I'm looking to vary the velocity of a synth part via a slow LFO (eg having two parts in which one gets almost imperceptibly higher velocity over thirty or so bars, as the other does the opposite, and back again, in a sine wave)..

UN check "use multi processing engine"

in the audio preferences...with my StudioCat computer... Unchecking this makes my active monitors MUCH quieter. With the track view as the top window...I get low level nasty-ness... like RFI sounding stuff. Open ANYTHING on top of that window...noise goes away.hhhhmmm wonder what that's all about. H..

So I've never really worked with freezing synths and have been trying it lately. Although I've noticed it's not so easy to edit the audio clip on the track, doesn't always let me trim the clips, but sometimes it works with no problems.
