setting MIDI track input to “none”?

Why is it that if I set a MIDI track input to “none” close/open the project, MIDI tracks have reset themselves to the “UA-25 omni” I don’t understand why reloading a project, Sonar has not set MIDI tracks to “none” FYI… Also I understand windows shuffles the deck of USB ports if a MIDI keyboard etc..

Whohooo! I rewired Notion 4 and Sonar Successfully! Notation for Sonar!

Duplicated Plugins

"Insert Synth" button Greyed Out Randomly

Lately, I've been having more frequent occurrences of the "Insert Synth" button being greyed out, which requires a Sonar restart, to enable again. Not sure what's happening. Anyone have any ideas? As an example, I'm working on a project, I click the + button to insert a synth, on the next pop out me..

[SOLVED - with additional info] Is There a Way to Specify/Change Start Screen Thumbnails?

Hello All, Is there a way to change a custom template's Start Screen thumbnail to a different graphic, rather than the SONAR generated name based graphic? I tried what was described in http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3415475 , but that seems to have no effect. Thanks!Pete..

I have plug in layouts that I have been updating since the year of the flood. Well, seems like it. I do not like the synth rack at all with the options. Can I not use my own layouts? If so, How? Thanks..

Right-click FX browser = Properties dialog?

I've only been using SPlat for a few days (yes, I finally let go of 8.5; new computer, new horizons) so ATM it's not always obvious whether a roadblock is user error or a bug. When I right-click on an Instrument in the plugin browser, I get a Properties dialog. Same for MIDI FX. But I do not get one..

Softsynth GUI window not showing entire contents (SSD4)

I just purchased Steven Slate Drums 4 Platinum, and it is only displaying the top 90% of the plugin. In other words, the bottom 10% of the screen isn't showing up. It's like there ought to be a vertical scroll bar, but there isn't; the window just "ends". No amount of mousing or scroll wheeling gets..
