Copy and pasting between tracks a quicker way ?

Does anyone know why when i am in PRV with 2 midi tracks and i lasoo a piece of midi of track 1> then copy it ( CTRL + C)> then in order to paste it to track 2 i need to use my mouse to click track 2 number ) in track view ) for it to paste to track 2 !!!!
