Default Sound on Sound preference for all projects

I prefer to always use "Sound on Sound" recording mode for all new projects, but I do not find a preference for this, only within each project. All new projects start with preference "Comping". How to leave "Sound on Sound" default for all projects?..

Suddenly all of my UAD plugins are producing wierd stereo effect, Help!

Hi, as of yesterday all of my UAD plugins are behaving weirdly. They all produce a stereo effect. What it sounds like to me is hard right is the unprocessed sound and hard left is the processed sound. Makes no difference whether it's an EQ, Compressor or reverb. They all do it. Cannot fathom why. Help! No wav files in my Platinum Audio folder???

I saved a project in Platinum. But when I examined the project folder containing the Cakewalk Project and what I thought would be it's Audio folder, instead there was a folder labeled MixScenes (????). What is this and were are the wav. files that are usually in the Audio folder?..

Multicore processing?

Sometimes I pitch shift (transpose) multiple tracks, but it seems to take ages. CPU is at 13%, so its only using one core of my system. Any way we can get this to run in parallel, seems like a simple optimization?..

Mackie Control Unit with Sonar Platinum - Volume not "sending" but receiving ok, help.

All things seem fine but the faders don't seem to send data, but they receive them from Sonar. If I adjust sonar the faders respond, but if I move the fader, they go back to the position that the Sonar UI has them. Any suggestions on how to fix this?..
