Is there a way to delete clips w/o deleting it's automation?

I'm working on a project that requires me to replace the clips with updated ones and I don't want to lose the envelopes. I can't figure out how to do it. Every time I delete a clip, it's envelope goes with it. Any experts out there?..

I have an updated membership for SONAR Platinum yest when I disconnect from the internet I get a warning that I'm running in Demo Mode and can't save my work. SERIOUSLY???Since when do I have to be online to save a project in a software package that I've paid for????..
