Building a backing track in SONAR (Platinum) - HELP!

I have been doing everything possible to move from ProTools 8 MPowered to Sonar Platinum. The last thing I use ProTools for is building my band's backing tracks. Convert Midi Controller to Envelope CHANGES THE EFFECT

With a midi controller, you set a value, and it stays set until you change it. Midi to synth playback drops out

I'm trying to send midi signal thru a synth (any synth) but the signal drops out. I can bounce the signal to a track and get audio, but this makes edits of the midi or synth tracks extremely time consuming. Is there a setting I can increase to avoid this issue?..

Sonar 2016.05 - noticeable performance improvement

I'm wondering if others are experiencing this as well. Am I hallucinating, or is 2016.05 actually performing better? For example, pre 2016.05 my Core 1 in the Performance reader had been slightly higher than the other cores. Now it's always on par with the rest. In addition, everything seems snappie..

Missing Rapture Pro

I just downloaded and installed Sonar Platinum2016.05 x64 and Rapture Pro, and I can't find RPro in any of my VST folders.
