Terrible pops and clicks when using Best Service's Engine 2 in Sonar Platinum

Win10 update alert

Roland Boutique Synth USB audio silent

I just purchased a used Roland JX-03 synth module and the little mini plug output doesn't work. It does have a mini usb which is supposed to transfer audio. I have Sonar x3 with a UA Apollo interface and I spent most of the day trying to get it to work with no luck. Any ideas??..
