can you "mute" an envelope without deleting?

For instance.. I have a volume or pan envelope drawn on a clip... but I'd like to disable it without deleting, so I can hear what it sounded like without the envelope...

Very weird behavior with overlapping audio clip, dragging (overlapping segment cuts off)

Last night I spent one of those exploratory hours previewing most of the included soft synths while looking for a certain sound. Under VST3 there is just one synth Prologue.
