Working between different Sonar packages: Platinum and Artist.

Hello, A friend of mine has Sonar Platinum. I'm thinking of getting Sonar so we can collaborate on some upcoming recording projects. My question is, if I purchase Sonar Artist instead of Platinum, can I open the Platinum bundles with Artist? If certain effects that are only available in Platinum are..

collaborating with shared VSTs

I have been collaborating with a friend, and whenever I bring over a project (the whole project folder) and load it up, it can't find "his" versions of the shared 3rd party VSTs we both have. Example: We both have several Waves VSTs (same version), yet when he loads up my project, the "missing VST" ..

How to stop idiot messages? -sharing drivers -

I'm trying to run Vegas Pro and Sonar Platinum at the same time. Every minute on the minute, Sonar pops up the message that "The above Audio/MIDI device was disconnected from your system. ...etc etc Clicking "No" allows Sonar to remember output settings etc etc. " Clicking makes the dialog go away, ..

Why doesn't Sonar have an iPad or Android app?

I just checked and Cubase has one and so does Logic. I love Sonar. Aside from notation improvements, this is really the only thing missing. And, honestly, it seems like it'd be a pretty easy thing to do, no? I know there's one called "DAW controller" or whatever, but why don't they make an official ..

Need to free up C Drive space

...and it looks like Command Center Downloads folder is huge. Any reason why I couldn't move the content to another drive and delete the contents? And what about old Sonar versions. I'm at Platinum. Is it safe to delete X3, X2, etc.? I don't want to uninstall old "stuff" that came with them, though,..

Transferring projects between two interfaces

OK . . . I needed to do an offsite session with a laptop. I wanted it to be as seamless as possible. So I copied the template from the main computer and used it on my offsite session which had a different interface. The session went great, but it gave me dialog boxes complaining about missing busses..
