Audio files taking lots of memory ? help

hi everyone i am working with lots of audio files in this project and i am wondering if bouncing down or anything can reduce the memory use on the PC ?i am thinking maybee raw audio files can be converted inside sonar and be smaller or something ! Any thoughts ? Thanks..

Im not sure exactly what I'm looking for guys or if it even exists. I dont have any backing singers so do all the stuff myself. Problem unpacking Sonar X2 bundle with Sonar X3 Producer

Does your wireless mouse lag when using Sonar (or anything else)?
