Significant performance problems since newburyport

Bank/Patch changes in Sonar

I have an Instrument Definition setup for KURZWEIL PC3K7. All my instrument banks register. When I assign my midi channel to play sounds from another bank my Kurzweil doesn't acknowledge the bank change. Any suggestions?? ThanksCarol..
