sonar x3 bit depth and sample rate

I am having a problem finding a bit depth and sample rate thatworks. Channel Tools POP, then no sound

Using Kingston, every time I add Channel Tools, I get a loud POP, then audio goes completely silent. I have to restart Sonar to get audio working again. This was better in Ipswitch, as I recall, but the demon seems to be back... Anyone else confirm? Regards,Dan..
