Staff view Snap problem!

Hello! I have an issue with staff view and I was wondering if someone else has it as well! Well, if I choose a quarter note, I should be placed in 4 measures in a 4beat bar! so i downloaded the demo and i enjoyed alot more than pro tools i found the mixing and the lay out and everything alot smoother and less complicated but appearntly its not on mac i mite be switch to mac products later on in the year and i dont want to invest my time and money in a somthing ill have ..
