VST best practices?

I'm running X3 and my VST Scan never completes since I installed Dimension Pro, Rapture Pro, and Z3ta+ 2 . Further, I'm having issues reloading VSTs when re-opening projects. Command Center doesn't show Manchester

As the title implies when I launch the CC it shows Lexington as installed and fully up to date. I've tried the usual "log out and back in" but no luck. Near as I can tell on the website, I'm paid and current for another year so I should be able to get it. Am I missing something? Is this something so..

Pentagon I set up as Vocoder has just crashed Lexington 3 times in a row...
