Sonar Platinum launching slowly

Does anyone have any tips on getting Platinum to launch more quickly?My X1 and X2 are launching in 2 to 3 seconds whereas Platinum takes a good 15 seconds. For future compatibility, upgrade from SONAR 8.5 to Platinum?

I run SONAR 8.5.3 Producer on Windows 7, and I'm content with it. But I'm wondering whether, as time passes, new software, especially third-party software, will prove incompatible with so old a version of SONAR. Is incompatibility likely to arise? Experienced DAW users, what do you think?..
