Has anyone developed a way to use program groupings (Combi, Performance) with Sonar?

The Sonar Patch Change event is based on the MIDI Patch Change. In the 1980s when MIDI was developed, synthesizers had a few dozen patches, and there was no concept of higher level groupings like Combi and Performance. Moving Take Lanes / Adding Multiple Take Lanes

In Sonar X3 Pro, could NOT sing a phrase well, so recorded it 20 times in take lanes on a track, then did it again on another track. Can't seem to do either of these two things:1. Remove a comp track split point?

I'm recording in comp mode, then using the track lanes to find the best performance. Sometimes I get a split in the lanes that I really don't want. The split shows up as soon as I'm done recording.
