patch points

When i create a patch point as a common output of several tracks and a new track with the input of that track being tbe same patch point (and said new track outputting to master) how do i solo that track without soloing all the other (inputting) tracks. ...which is what I'm having to do?..

Can't play audio of other programs when Sonar is open

For some reason, when i have Sonar open, I can't play audio from any other windows programs. If I try I either get an error. Cannot figure out Melodyne Essential. PEBKAC or bug or what?

So at first I didn't realize that I had to 'record' audio into it to use it as a plugin rather than 'send' a clip to it like in V-Vocal (which I am sorely missing right now).
