Touch screens or not

I am buying a pair of 24" monitors. Is there much benefit to touch screens. They seem a bit lower resolution and higher cost in that $300 dollar range. Loop/Sample storage

I noticed on Mr. Bandsaw's post below that people put all their loops (Hardgrove, etc) on a separate drive? I rarely use loops in Platinum, so should I cut these from my C:Drive and paste them all on my external hard drive (in the event I need them)? Will this significantly help my system run smooth..
