Losing Soft Synth Inserts on Project Open

New to this software so it's probably something I'm doing... Every time I open a saved project, all of the synth inserts seem to have disappeared, and the tracks have reverted to general midi tracks... any ideas? Thanks,Nathan...

Slow to Rapid tick, tick, tick, tick . . . .

I have Sonar 8.5 --> I think I had X1 but I can't find it. Haven't used it in many years, but starting again.Setup is Windows, a notebook, and USB M-Audio keyboard ("Keystation 88").Just using the audio portion so far. I haven't gotten to recording, yet. With the TTS-1 synth and latency of about 1/2..

Sonar: Love and Hate

I love the way I can group tracks together. I like the ability to do MIDI tweaks. I feel comfortable working with Sonar- just upgraded from X1c to Platinum. If you accidentally skip an update, hypothetically, is that bad?

Do new updates, like Ipswitch, include the previous ones?Can they be installed out of order?How can you tell which ones have been installed (when using 32 bit vs. 64 bit)Will CCC ever handle SPlat 32bit? what's the big deal anyway?..
