SPLAT problems with enable and disable plugins for fx bin?

I inserted a J37 tape plugin in a final mix in SPLAT. The plugin initially was enabled as expected. when disabling the plugin, it is never able to be enabled. It is permanently disabled in the FX bin. Thoughts?..

Extend the Aim Assist line through the Bus Pane for Automation Envelope Editing?
