Insert plug-in on master - Plt Freeze

Had this happen on a number of occasions. Placed Boost 11 on Master and Plt goes into a freeze. Today I placed Saphire from Waves twice and again same thing both times. Project just freezes. Downloading Sonar trial versions...help

I would like to trial Sonar X1 or above ...(if indeed I am able too) Ive gone to Command Centre but I'm only getting a few options such as Artist etc... Can anyone give me a simple link to do this ? I have Sonar 7 Producer at the moment. And am running Windows 7..

Start Screen opens on every project?

While in a project, if I go to the File menu and select Open, then choose another project, I get the start screen after the project opens. Is this supposed to happen? If so, (which doesn't make sense) can it be turned off? I see the setting for controlling if it opens upon launch but nothing else...
