Replace Synth on a track and now no sound?

I would have thought this command is as simple as it sounds. No hoops to go through simply replace the synth and the part already recorded plays just the same except through the new synth...but apparently not! Any suggestions? Thanks..

Maybe I missed it, but I don't recall seeing a simple EQ plug in like is on many P.A. heads (such as a Peavey XR series). I have and have seen all kinds of fancy graphic EQ's, parametric EQ's, etc., but not just a plain old EQ with Low Mid and High controls...

I can't see the samples from drum replacer

Where are the drum replacer samples. I have the cakewalk content, with drum replacer in it, on my audio drive. I can see them in windows explorer but not in the media browser in sonar. the kick snare, and toms foldders show up. but nothing in them..
