Problems loading audio interface drivers

Hopefully someone can solve this for me, ive spent half of my day trying to figure this out. first off i recently switched to Sonar Platinum. Love it! the problem is that i also have changed my audio interface to a Tascam us-16x08. i set up everything i needed (drivers) on my laptop with no problems..

How do I change the Default template to a previously created template of my own? Or can I ? I know under the "new" selection the option is there to set a different template as default from the generic list, but is there a way to add mine to the list or am I only allowed to change to one of those alr..

Rebuilt system - some dxi's will not register in Sonar Platinum Gloucester x64

All my Sonar versions since X1 are upgrades. Can I do a fresh install of Platinum alone?

Surely this has been asked before, but I'm not finding it through search. I'm considering a total rebuild of my computer. Do I have to reinstall all versions of Sonar in order (starting with X1) before I can install Platinum, or can I just prove possession of the previous versions, and install Sonar..

REmatrix import IR is looking for audio files, not .rir files.

I am following the directions exactly, and the userIRs.rir file is where it is supposed to be, but REmatrix expects the file to be audio. It will only open wav, wave, aif or aiff. It does not see the .rir file because it doesn't expect that format...

Which "Purchased" Cakewalk Plugins Work in Other DAWS

Is there an easy way to know which plugins/instruments I may purchase from Cakewalk will work in other DAWS? I know some are Cakewalk specific like Sonitus even the 3rd party freebies like Nomad Factory which will not work. I would tend to buy them but only if they work cross-platform...
