Cake midi plugs missing

I don't do it often, but I've now realized that "cut special" with "delete hole" checked no longer works at all? Something very odd with Sonar Platinum cut and paste .. I keep finding new problems. Reloading Sonar X1 Updates

Hard drive crashed, so I'm trying to reload Sonar X1. I got the disks loaded. But when I try to add the updates (it says you can skip directly to X1c) I get "Cannot locate required version of the product on this system ..." Should I download X1a? Thanks!..
