Problems to install VST Instruments Soundbytes Bagpipes and EMM Knagalis

I installed the VST instrument http://soundbytes.de/BagPipes/ and started Sonar Platinum. The plugin was found (Sonar noticed 6 new), so the VST scan path is set correctly. Is there a way to use Sonar with Novation Launchkey?

How is effect presets supposed to work

I get nothing useful done there - I can only press diskette button and save, but not give names, or rename or organize in any way. EDIT: Double-click on NoPreset text and you can edit. Against the law to not use synths

I am watching videos, learning Sonar, and I have a confession to make. I DO NOT make music with synths. It seems to be anti-DAW to not get all wrapped up in all those crazy sounds. No Crashes Since Everett Update 1?
