Muted status of clips is ignored if its take lane is soloed

I've muted clips, but they still play back when I solo the relevant take lane. Why is this? I appreciate that soloing a take lane is not considered a permanent track edit but it's a distraction to hear audio that I have explicitly 'turned off'. (I swear things were 10x more usable when we had layers..

Still investigating - clip envelopes play but don't export?

I've redone this a dozen times in different ways, and it seems as tho a clip volume envelope sounds fine during playback, but doesn't happen when I do a file export... Still checking for my own possible errors but.... Anyone else find anything like this? Keni..

Unjoin or deassociate cloned tracks?

I cloned a track so as to not lose the original, but didn't uncheck something... I've been editing the track and am only now discovering the two are still associated, can I unjoin them?..
