LOST FEATURE - no display for overwrite, sound on sound, or comping

In every version of Sonar before X1, there was a visible display of what recording mode you were in: sound on sound, overwrite, or autopunch. With X1 this feature was discarded. [Solved] Craig Anderton Presets

I was playing with the sci fi preset in environment generator for a song intro but can't figure out how to insert and control the effect. It plays thru out but I only want it on the intro and outro. Thanks for any guidance!!! P.S. I hope this isn't a dumb inquiry. Please excuse my ignorance..

So, I've been doing quite a bit of spring cleaning, and I think DimPro has a dupe of it's sample content. Can anyone verify where SONAR Platinum stores this stuff by default? Looks like it puts it on the C drive...
