Is it possible to 'denormailze' an audio file?

these days CDs are maxed out with very low dynamic range. Is there a way in sound Forge 10 or Sonar to restore these files to their 'non-blasting loud' original form? thank you..

Always open Melodyne in fullscreen mode on second monitor?

... (how) is this possible? Right now Melodyne always opens in the docker, where it is completely useless due to the tiny amount of space. I would therefore like to configure it to always open on the second monitor and in fullscreen mode. Any help appreciated .....

Smart Tool not working in Platinum

I've been seeing 'odd behavior' posts from folks bringing older projects into Sonar Platinum. Here's another one. I believe this project was started in X2, all wav files. I opened and saved it in SPlat and then brought in a midi file to drive Superior 2, opened up the PV and tried to do some editing..

SONAR X3 and TASCAM 16x08 problem

When I try to open Sonar X3 with the new TASCAM 16x08 operating/driver interface open, Sonar does not finish opening - it hangs up. But, when I shut off the 16x08 and the driver interface says lost the device, Sonar X3 loads up properly. Then I can turn on the 16x08 and reopen the driver inteface. S..

Are deleted audio files kept anywhere?

I opened a project I'd worked on a few weeks earlier and was a bit surprised to see a couple of guitar audio tracks missing. RESOLVED Best way to move cwp to new PC ?

So, I'm free to really dig into Platinum, now. It's on my new desktop and all my projects are on my i7 Win 7 laptop X3PE machine. Is there some optimum way to do this? Or can I just drag 'em to the thumb drive and copy/paste them (cwp not cwb) into my desktop? So far, I am just doing the latter, but..
