Using Take Lanes with MIDI?

Sonar Platinum-ARM recording/input echo "Delay"

Has anyone run across this... Issue-When I either record arm a track or turn input echo on or off there is a 6-7 second delay before the function is enabled/disabled. Home Studio 9 with Windows 7

My dad bought Home Studio 9 a few years ago and loves it. He doesn't want to learn a new software unless he has to. He now has a PC with Windows 7. Does anyone know if it's compatible? He does still have the serial number and original CD although the CD says it's compatible with 95/98/NT only. thank..
