Center Now Time

I've searched the help files and keyboard shortcuts and can't find asnwer. Here's the question: While playback if I hold down "g" on computer keyboard the Now time cursor stays centered on the screen and the track scrolls. Is there a way to "lock" this fnction so I don't have to hold the key down..
