sonar x3, Kontakt 5, and pitch wheel

I am having trouble getting midi pitch wheel controls to have an effect on a Kontakt instrument used as a VST soft synth in Sonar X3. Pitch wheel works fine with kontakt as standalone. Problems with Melodyne and TH2

So I opened X2a for some reason and now Melodyne and TH2 are no longer working in X3e. There was an error for both upon rescan. I have done a reset rescan and they are both still getting the same error. I'm currently re-downloading Melodyne to give that a try...any ideas?..

Kontakt - One big instance or a separate instance for each instrument?
