Does repeated saving of a project replicate the entire data file?

In other words, I’m in the habit of saving a project every few minutes, just in case there’s a crash or some sort of glitch. Lost Metronome in Platinum

I have recently moved my Sonar files to a new drive. Everything works well except the metronome seems to be silent. Does anyone know exactly which preference should point to the Metronome file???? sysex? other? Thanks for your time..
