cymbal ride kills 2 of my mixes dead

is there a way to use audio snap to clean up and separate the cymbals in the OH track? i ve tried a gate and i can't quite get separation. the problem i am having is by the time i compress the track signals 3 or 4 times at 2db a pop nice and gradual like... by the time it gets to the mastering stage..

I had to reinstall windows along with everything else last night. I had all of the projects backed up as I record and save to another drive instead of the system drive. [Solved] Sliding clips when markers are used

I need to create a gap between the end of a chorus and the beginning of a verse to allow for a small solo. I have markers in place for the entire song. When sliding clips I think the markers remain unchanged. Is it possible to great a gap in the middle of the piece so the markers move with the clips..
