Pops when punch recording

I'm recording in "Comp" mode. I set the Now Time and start to punch record but my new recording plays back with a "pop" noise between the previous take and the new punched in take. I tried to add a larger crossfade but the pop is still there. How can I punch record a section without creating a "pop"..

Tracking Levels

When I track in Sonar, I can adjust the knobs on my MOTU 8Pre and see the levels change in Sonar. What should my goal be as far as a number on the track meter for the track I am adjusting? Thanks...

Are projects backward compatible?

I'm running 64bit Sonar X3e and a friend is running 32bit Sonar X3e. I want to copy my project folder onto his pc so I can record some tracks at his house. Other than plug-in's will this be an issue?
