Jumpy behavior when zooming in/out....

Maybe I'm crazy but isn't the zoom function supposed to focus on the selected/highlighted track? Whenever I zoom in or out in X3e the screen erratically jumps to either the very top or very bottom of the project. I don't remember it working like this in previous versions. This is kind of frustrating..
