Most efficient way to do your own vocal takes?

I would rather do my vocal takes standing up, which forces me to kinda go back and forth from microphone to the PC Keyboard, which ends up varying the distance between the pop filter and my mouth with different takes. Should I just accept it? Do you guys have any secret device (holding) that control..

transfer track from one project to another?

Is it possible to transfer a track from one project to another? For example, if I wanted to take a drum track in one project and create another project and use that same drum track, is there a way to do that? Thanks!Greg..

I can legally install Sonar on multiple machines as long as I am the only one using it and as long as I don't using it on multiple machines at the same time.
