Can Sonar configure the computer keyboard to trigger MIDI notes?

In other words, if I brought up Sonar and loaded, say, Addictive Drums, and justtapped on the PC keyboard, can I configure it to trigger MIDI and produce the sounds?..

Automation on folders?

I suspect I know the answer, but figured I'd ask the question since there are many hidden gems in Sonar. In Sonar X2, can you apply envelopes or other automation to a folder? I think I want to group my drums into a folder, the mute sections using volume envelopes...

X3 Setting? Do not convert VSTs to VST3?

Is there a setting to stop Sonar from converting VSTs to VST3 when you open an older project? Some VST3s just don't work as well as others...

Track Colors

Does anybody know if I am able to group track colors? For example, I have all my drum tracks in one folder. Am I able to make all the track colors in a specified folder (or just tracks that aren't in a folder) the same? This would help when it comes time for mixing since all the different parts of t..

Sonar X3 and Windows 8 with touchscreen

Hi all, my main interface is a TC StudioKonnekt48. I also have a Yamaha THR10 amp which can also be used as an interface via usb.
