NUC boxes? Anyone had any experience with them?

I see quite a few advertised running the Celeron Chips and claiming 2.4+ ghz speeds from the processor? What do you guys and gals think about using a Celeron for VST and audio work? I always thought an i5 or better was the only way to go…but NUC boxes wtih 'i' anything in the name are really expensi..

Is there a reason why Gain isn't automatable?

Just curious really. It doesn't come up very often that I want to automate gain, and when it does, usually clip gain is fine, or alternatively the fudge where you can automate the input on an FX chain PC module. Convert Flac to Wave

What software is good to use to do this? What I want to do is export a track to flac format and zip it and send it via email. The recipient unzip and convert to Wave and import into Sonar. Is this doable? As I understand it there will be no los of data...

mic monitor input echo

When I am recording a vocal I can't hear the audio unless I turn on "input echo". However it has a a short delay similar to a latency problem with a soft synth. I can't figure out how to fix it and monitor the vocals in real time..

Sonar Platinum - is it compatible with the same soundfonts as x2?

I'm using x2 and wondering if I should upgrade to Platinum. I've spent quite a bit of time finding good soundfonts in x2 andwould like to know if I can use the same ones in Platinum? Also, wondering if Platinum is more compatible with Windows 10? Thanks, Marsi..
