Disk overrun error while recording... but I'm not recording, just playing back

Hi, Has anyone had this issue? It seems it may have starting after this recent update. My drive is new, 7200rpm, tons of space. Is there a way to automate the timing on midi drums that were played externally on a electronic drum set...for instance if the timing might not be right the entire time?..
