How to have Snap-To-Grid react to note position but not note length

I am arranging a guitar part and snap-to-grid makes positioning the clips easy and quick. But when I adjust the length of the note, it's grabbing and forcing the end to the grid, too. Sonitus Gate messed up when rendering to WAV

Deleting everything but the highlighted portion of a clip

Does anyone know if there is a shortcut to delete everything not selected? Sort of an inverse delete. If I have a clip that is mostly silence except one section. I want to delete the silence before and after. I've seen it done in PT where you select the section of audio and the shortcut would delete..

Select controllers along with notes-ing

I'm confused by the Select Controllers Along With Notes option in PRV. When the option is enabled, indeed, I can select some notes and the pedal markings are selected too, but then when I Ctrl-drag them to copy, the pedal markings don't also copy. See gif below. Lenses what do you think about them?

I'm looking at the new help for Sonar 2016.11 and one of the new features are lenses. Apparently the name is changed from Workspaces to Lenses. Because I have Sonar Home Studio I am looking at the ones in it. Sonar Platinum may have them by the end of this month. At present I don't see a huge differ..
