Any reason to install vst version if vst3 being installed?

added a few plugins recently and just curious if there is any reason to have the vst version installed if the vst3 is being installed. installing both seems to put two instances in the add effect dialogue and these are not differentiated from each other so my instinct tells me I just need the vst3's..

SONAR says disk is full when its not

When I try to record I'm getting the message "unable to save entire recording. The audio disk may be full." I'm running everything on one hard drive. This disk has 1.71 TB free. I know sonor reserves some space and recording takes up space but certainly not 1.71TB worth! Any ideas? Windows 10 64 bit..

Need help with older cwp files

Hi everyone and thanks for reading this. I have a bunch of .cwp files from late 2002 that my wife recorded. When I try to open these older cwp files in Cakewalk Sonar Platinum, the program tells me the files are either corrupt or incompatible. Can anyone suggest a tool or product that might help me ..

Open a File Saved in Platinum in Sonar X3

Platinum is installed on my DAW at home but X3 is what's on my Church laptop, which is what I use to connect to the instruments there. If I save a file in Platinum, will I be able to open it in X3?..

Sonar Platinum cpu power save mode problem

Prochannel EQ - Zoom View

There must be a way to do this: On some of my projects, the prochannel EQ has all of the parameters for each band visible in the prochannel strip - Freq/Q/Lvl.
