[Edit] Track view question

What is the dotted, vertical line that moves back and forth with the mouse on the clips pane/Time Ruler called? And more importantle, how do I turn off the little number readout at the top of the line that indicates where the cursor is? Thanks for any help...

Sonar Producer and Logitech G13 controller
