Control Surfaces for Sonar

I just upgraded to X3 (the comping is great), but I am really disappointed in the lack of support for control surfaces that are useable in most other DAW's; I have played with ACT, but so far it has been a real PITA except for the meager interface with the VS-20 (no pan, solo, mute buttons, etc...)...

Pre recording track monitor problem

I want to be able to hear a left or right pan, and individual track volumes for a nice mix before to hit record(without compromising level). After recording I can pan and obviously adjust the track volume. But not before recording. Is is something to live with until track is recorded, or is there a ..

Arturia KeyLab 88-Key Hammer Action MIDI Controller

Metronome going silent, anyone?
