Should I start using Cakewalk by Bandland or stay with Sonar Platinum

I have an unlimited upgrade for Sonar Platinum. Now I see they have sold out to Bandland. I am kind of confused here as I figure I will have to start upgrading again. For now it appears to be free. I am not sure if I should continue to use Sonar Platinum or start using the new free version from band..

Need help for troubheshooting: sometimes a chunk is missing from recorded audio

I have decent PC dedicated for audio production and superb sound interface, RME UFX (newest firmware & drivers). DPC Latency checker shows no peaks. System is on SSD and for audio there are three 2-3 TB drives. OS is Win7 Ultimate. I have recorded bands in multitrack for 5 years with this setup...
