New VS700 question

Awaiting delivery of my v studio and it is packaged with X3. I'm currently using X2. Should I set up my new v studio with X2 or just go all in with the X3 right from the start?..

If you're wondering why your MIDI keyboard can't change the banks of your VSTs in SONAR

Change midi channels on SD-50

Reading the manual I see there is no way to change the midi channel on the 16 seperate 'channels'. I'm coming from the world of the U-220 and I'm used to patches with 8 parts with assignable midi channels for each part. I'm thinking the SD-50 has 16 parts\channels but not assignable midi? or Patches..
