Seek words of wisdom - migrate from Vista to Windows 7

Seeking words of wisdom to migrate from Vista to Windows 7. I have been using SONAR 6 (obsolete now) and worried about losing "projects" upon moving from obsolete VISTA to Windows 7. SOLVED: I can't arm audio for recording in Home Studio 2004.

It says my audio drivers are in use with another application. I have no other application s running, and I have disabled Windows' sounds. Neither do I have any speakers or headphones plugged in. Pro Audio 9 install and XP 64-Bit
