AEA R84 Ribbon Mic

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on an AEA R84 microphone and possibly one of their preamps too if I can swing the cost. Does anyone have any opinions (good or bad) on these mics? Are there better options for the money? Thanks! Cindy..
